Caramelized Onion Dip

Making Caramelized Onion Dip using our unique speckled Pewter is perfect for game days! Caramelizing your onions before adding them to a classic onion dip creates a sweet twist on the party dip everyone knows and loves.

Prep: 

Pewter Bowl 
Pewter Salad Plate

Ingredients: 

2 tablespoons water
1.5 cups sour cream, room temp
8 ounce package of cream cheese, soft
1/2 teaspoon salt
I teaspoon Nature's Seasoning
a few cracks of fresh black pepper
a pinch of Accent
1 tablespoon fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped

Caramelized Onion Dip Recipe - Served in Pewter Dinnerware Made in the USA by The Fiesta Tableware Company

Directions:

  • Be sure to remove cream cheese and
    sour cream from your refrigerator, so
    they can reach room temperature.
  • Finely slice 2-3 small onions.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet. Add
    onions and sauté on a moderate heat
    until golden brown. (About 25
    minutes)
    Add 2 tablespoons of water and stir
    until evaporated. (2-3 minutes)
  • Let onions cool for 15 minutes. Then
    place on a cutting board and roughly
    chop into small pieces.
  • In a medium size bowl, mix soft
    cream cheese, sour cream, onions, and
    fresh parsley.
  • Season with salt, pepper, Nature's
    Seasoning, and Accent.
  • Garnish with extra sautéed onions

Serving:
