FAQ Use & Care

Is the dinnerware oven/microwave/dishwasher/freezer safe?

Yes. All dinnerware offered by USA Dinnerware Direct is fully oven/microwave/dishwasher/and freezer safe. Our products are made to accommodate the food service/hotel industry professional consumer, as well as the home consumer, providing a broad range of functionality. Features such as going from the freezer to the oven, oven to table, table to the dishwasher, and use in the microwave.

How high can the oven temperature be?

Typically, 350 degrees is very acceptable for dinnerware, while bakeware can reach 500 degrees. While all pieces are temperature safe to 500 degrees, we do not however recommend placing above or directly under direct flame.

What causes the gray marks on dinnerware?

Gray marks on pottery are very common especially on lighter glazed colors. This is not an imperfection in the ware; simply caused when metal flatware comes into contact with glazes that are actually a harder substance than the metal itself. Glazes look and feel smooth to the touch but actually there are microscopic divots where the marks collect as the flatware is moved over them. Many consumers consider the marks scratches, however there is usually no damage to the glaze or pottery itself.

How do I clean metal marks off my Dinnerware?

Metal markings can be removed by a wide variety of products on the market today, but we highly recommended Wright's Copper Cleaner which can be found at most grocery stores. Simply take apply small amount to applicator sponge in circular motion for a short period; Follow by washing as normal in the dishwasher or sink to remove any residue.
